What is Coronavirus?

Coronavirus or COVID-19 is a virus spread from one person to another, most likely through droplets of saliva or mucus carried in the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Viral particles may be breathed in, land on surfaces that people may touch, or be transferred when shaking hands or sharing a beverage with someone who has the virus. Symptoms seem to appear within 14 days of exposure to the virus.
